Advance Capital provided transaction support for the deal between MaximaTelecom and Gazprom-media on establishing a joint venture in the fields of AdTech and Big Data

Advance Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor to MaximaTelecom, operator of the largest public Wi-Fi space in Europe, on setting up a joint venture with Gazprom-media, the leading diversified media holding in Russia and Eastern Europe.

On June 21, the parties unveiled the joint venture, which will operate under the “Quant” brand. As a result of the transaction, Gazprom-media received a 51% stake in the joint venture while the share of MaximaTelecom totaled 49%. Artem Pulikov, who was previously the Head of Internet business at MaximaTelecom, would take up the post of CEO at the merged company.

Big Data and marketing technologies developed by MaximaTelecom over the years of monetizing its public Wi-Fi network as well as media expertise and federal coverage of Gazprom-media’s digital resources will become the key competitive advantages of Quant.
